Artsgarden Poetry: Spirit of Competition

From Brick Street Poetry:

Spirit of Competition Call Results
Brick Street Poetry Inc. sincerely thanks all the poets who submitted to our Spirit of Competition call to write poems for placement on posters in the Indianapolis Artsgarden’s Southwest Connector.  Our opportunity to have poetry in this high traffic area is possible with much appreciated help from the Art Council of Indianapolis
.
We were pleased to receive excellent poems in each category.  Because of the quality of the entries the judging was difficult.  Our judge, Dr. CarolynKreiter-Foronda of Virginia, made positive comments about the range of voices and the quality of the work. She had only the poems to read, with no indication of who the poets were. Her selections are listed below.

During the first six months of 2013, the following poets will have their poems displayed:
January – Richard Pflum, Literary Competition (Civility Category)
February – Marlene Million, Apple Turnover (Innovation)
March – Joe Heithaus, Rivalry(Rivalry Category)
April – Steve RobertsWrestling the Muse (Failure Category)
May – Shari WagnerMordecai “Three Finger” Brown Tells All(Passion Category)
June – Norbert Krapf, My Band Career (Competition Category)
